Latest Updates

My pack of edits was related to fixing the tabs for removing Macgeek417's convention. There were lots of red tabs on the hardware, machine and software lists.

MediaWiki has been updated to 1.15.1. As always, if you encounter any problems please report them to me.

I ported the PageTabs template from Wikipedia for personal needs. Feel free to use it. It consists of one "top" template, two customizable "middle" templates and one "bottom" template (but unlike userboxes the main template takes care of them), plus two /docs and one [semi-]demo, however it wasn't hard to port it.

The title text on some project pages (Community Portal, Help, Policy, About, Forum Rules & IRC Guidelines) has been updated to SVGs rather than GIFs. This will give better support for resizing the text if it is ever required. The library used to create the PNG versions of the SVG files has also been changed from ImageMagick to rsvg since it gives better looking output.

We could use more help converting existing stats to the new format.

I have added a new custom namespace for 68kMLA related articles. I decided that it's probably best to keep 68kMLA_Wiki: for articles specific to the Wiki – such as editing policy, etc – rather than re-assign it. 68kMLA: has been created for articles which pertain to the 68kMLA as a whole – forum rules, articles about the MLA, etc.

Furthermore, I've changed the way these updates are stored. They are now at 68kMLA Wiki:Community Portal/Updates and are included into the main Community Portal page. To only keep the newest four entries I have masked off the rest with <noinclude> tags. When adding an entry to this page, be sure to move the opening <noinclude> up one entry. To keep the layout nice it should come on the same line as the signature. If someone can think of a way to do this automatically, please feel free to suggest it!
