@Zenwort: The abbreviation of the product EHU was derrived from its Czech name. If we were to translate this name into English, I am afraid that the identification of this device would be not understandable and not specific enough. I'm not sure there exist an exact translation. The word "ústředna" can be translated as "switchboard", "exchange" and even "headquaters" but none of this word seems to be fitting for this device. Maybe, "central control unit (for a clock net system?)" can be fitting explanation, but IMHO, the original official name should be preferred to such explanation attempts. If we do not know the exact function of the device and can only infer it from the original name, an attempt at an inaccurate translation could create an unwanted shift in meaning. That's are reasons why I chose the original name. If you know more about that device, you can add an English explanation to the beginning of the category page.
To meet category naming rules, I changed the category name to the pure designation of the product and manufacturer, and added Czech and English explanation from the file pages. It would appropriate to find the most appropriate parent category for this type of device. The categories Clocks and Electric clocks contain no subcategory for clock networks or central switchboards. --ŠJů (talk) 16:18, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
So I finally found it. Clock networks, master clocks and slave clocks were hidden in category "Precision clocks", where I wouldn't really look for them, especially with the experience that these systems were often not much more accurate than individual clocks or watches. --ŠJů (talk) 16:30, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As written in the article about Pragotron company, "hlavní hodiny" (HH, = master clock) was not the same as "elektrická hodinová ústředna" (EHU). --ŠJů (talk) 16:46, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
