Library Subscriptions
MLA Handbook Plus
MLA Handbook Plus is the only authorized subscription-based digital resource featuring the MLA Handbook and companion resources. It is available to institutions by annual subscription.
To learn more about free trials and subscription pricing, please contact Christina Shea, library sales manager, at getHBplus@mla.org or visit the Get Access page.
MLA International Bibliography
The MLA International Bibliography is no longer available in print format. Libraries can subscribe to an electronic format of the bibliography.
PMLA
Subscriptions for 2021 and after will be sold and processed through Cambridge University Press. Key features are described below. For more information, visit the Cambridge Core site.
Please reach out to your library sales representative with any questions. In the Americas, write to subscriptions_newyork@cambridge.org. In all other parts of the world, write to journals@cambridge.org.
Usage and Turnaway Reports
PMLA will be included in the COUNTER 5 usage reports for your holdings available through Cambridge Core.
If you are evaluating a subscription or renewal, turnaway reports (which show when users in your IP range have tried to access PMLA content but were turned away because they were not covered under a subscription) will also be captured and retrievable on Cambridge Core.
Perpetual Access
Library subscribers for 2021 and after will receive perpetual access to all PMLA journal years they have subscribed to, meaning that library patrons can continue to read those issues indefinitely even if the library chooses not to renew in future years.
Full Archive
Cambridge Core will host the full PMLA archive, from 1884 to present, bringing it together for the first time with current issues on one unified, searchable site. Library subscribers can choose to lease the full archive as part of a premium bundle with their PMLA subscription. Library subscribers will also have the option to purchase perpetual access to the PMLA archive.
